I would get more of a variety (Astraeas, Ceriths, Dwarf Ceriths, Nassarius, Bumblebee, etc.) to help keep different parts of your tank clean.

Is your tank clean already? If so, more Snails won't be necessary.

The high nitrates might suggest more waste in the tank not being eaten and being broken down. Therefore I suggest more snails. Like Camkha1234 said, variety is good.

You want a variety of species. In my 55, I have over 200. Mostly small dwarf ceriths.

Go to reefcleaners.org and give them your tank info. They will tell you exactly what else you need to add. I had a great experience with them when i upgraded my clean up crew!

Actually, I would suggest doing their CuC by tank size, but cut your tank size in half (so do one for a 20 gal or there about). He sends more than you order, and you will end up losing some due to starvation if you get too many.

+1 to this, I've ordered from reefcleaners twice now and everytime I've always gotten more than what I ordered, for example a tank your size (according to reefcleaners.org) would get 44 dwarf ceriths but in reality you would end up with closer to 60 or 70 of the little guys. He does this to account for any loss during shipping which we all appreciate but if you don't have the food to support that many snails then Marshall is right order a package that is for half your tank size.
