Do I need to be dosin?

I have a nano tank 24g and I do routine weekly five gallon changes. Do I need to dose in this tank I have been but leaves like a slick on the top of water it seems. I don't have a test kit. But everything is growing I have sps lps and softies and there all great. Green birds nest is good and growing and the purple one too even has a small new arm and the little things are always off. so I'm sure levels are fine. But I don't like the shine at top. Maybe I'm putting to much. Puttn a and b and iodide. Daily.

 

Can you point a pump up towards the top of the water to mix things around more?

 

I have tried and my ruturn pumps are facing up for that reason to mix up the top. And I got a decent flow in the tank. Two nano 240 and a 550 plus the return. Maybe I'm putting to much

 

You got to get some test kits, only way you'll know if you're dosing to little or to much. You'll see countless threads/post about you shouldn't dose what you don't test.

I have the Mg test kit from RS and I really love the holder for swirling, so easy to add solution and swirl at the same time.
