I have some Green Star Polyps, some yellow polyps and some button polyps.. do I need to dose with anything? They all look very healthy. I do monthly 20% water changes with Instant Ocean(the original stuff)

They dont need to be dosed like sps or anything but when I had softies I just used aminos and things like that to help color. They are not going to use up the calcium like other corals.

Probably not, but I will say IO is not that great for a reef tank. It's low in Mg, so if anything I'd check out your Mg level in the tank, and dose it up to where it should be.

It might work for you if you get the vitamin c or look at dosing products with it in there.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If it working, why change it?

Growing and healthy says it all to me. Believe me sometimes no change is the best choice.

to a point... sometimes, like you say.

i had a set of red blasto's that were growing fine... but one day, after watching a set of green blasto's growing much faster, I decided to move the red ones.

it is now working better. And better is the why, eh ;)
