    I agree with the unions but I don't on the check valves. I never used em and feel safer planning on and expecting the drain back.

    If you see a man in the plumbing isle that is walking in circles, cursing to himself, soaking wet, smells like a sump, and his hair is sticking up on one side with dry PVC glue, that would be me. Be sure to say hello and remind me to get another elbow.
