Do long tentacle plate corals move?

    Just wondering either it moved a little or it's just opening up so big it looks that way

    Yes. And they primarily do it at night when they inflate, so they're only capable of moving a little bit each day.

    Let it "walk" where it so chooses, and just keep things out of it's apparent path. It probably won't move far in any given direction, and will stay relatively in the same place.

    They can but it my expirence most stay put as long as they are happy and have good flow.

    They do move but not in the same way an anemone or mushroom coral do. They inflate their tissue and "float" to where they like, which is a low flow area. They call it "walking" because they just barely come off the substrate when moving and look like they are "walking" across the bottom.

    Mine always moves to low flow area. Kept moving him out in ymthe open cause some bonehead said they need good flow. He kept moving back. He is happy .
