Do Lunar Lights Contribute To Algae Growth?

    Just a quick question.
    I have my lunar lights on all night, basically anytime the main lights are not on. Would this contribute to unnecessary algae growth? My lunar lights consist of four one watt blue LEDs.

    No. They will not promote any algae growth.8)

    What about white Luna lights, is that still true?

    I would think white lights could contribute, depending on how bright they are.

    EDIT: I have a 150W freestanding lamp next to my aquarium, and have been hesitant to switch it on at night for this reason (and disturbing the fish). But my BSJF loves television.
