I seem to be having a minor snail explosion in my tank right now. In the past I've seen many snail eggs, but I am now seeing a lot of medium sized juvenile snails (anywhere from 1mm-8mm, but no shells yet) crawling around my glass.

Not that I have a problem with more snails - it saves me money on my CUC. But I wonder whether these will provide food for my fish, particularly my mandarin. I am always having to order copepods to feed him, so I wonder if he will eat any of these snails? BTW, most seem to be baby astrea snails, although some might be cerith.

Mandarins don't eat snails. Some wrasses will and some aggressive fish will.
