Do metal halide lights harm soft corals?

    Yes, but the corals have a longer "black-out" time to recover from the intense lighting. Luna

    If you are worried about a specific coral, you can move it to the bottom of the tank. I actually killed off all my xenia when I switched to MHs. They had been at the very top of the tank and couldn't take the change.
