I'm looking at the Hydor Korilia Skimmer for my JBJ Nano Cube 28. I read somewhere that "Wet skimming" + topping off with water will cause the salinity of the tank to decrease.

    Is this tru?

It might if you are dumping huge amounts of skim out. I would not wory about it.

Over time, if you're not performing regular water changes, wet skimming and topping off with freshwater may lower your salinity.

i would say yes but its so small that it wouldnt really matter much plus you should be doing a biweekly water change if not a weekly water change that would replenish it. i mean at most you are losing a cup of water a day and it takes 16 cups to make a gallon, like i said it might affect the salt level this is just an educated guess, but not to a degree that it would harm anything i mean it might make a .001 difference but like i said the water changes will protect that.

The smaller the tank the more skimming could effect salinity levels.
