ok so i made my sump/fuge a while ago,http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/just-another-diy-sump-idea-please-help-69019.html,and i am finally putting the cheato in sunday. my fuge is already cram packed full of pods. it has a 4 inch sand bed and around 25 pounds of small live rock, not quite live rock rubble (dont have a recent pic). my question is do the pods transfer from the fuge to the dt. looking at the sump thread might help fill in the details but there are holes drilled in the baffle where the water flows thru and there is no filter between the fuge and pumps. the pumps are both viaaqua 4900's. the reason im asking is that you can hardly ever find pods in my display. even at night. i have a mandrin that has been in the tank for 7 months and looks healty but im wanting to add a clam. thanks for any advice in advance.

The pods make it to the DT fine.

Clams feed almost exclusively from light and dissolved minerals and such in the water.
