just got a reply... i actually am really considering these now! whats your guys take here?

    Dear trenton9777,

    Thanks,
I actually am completely new to ebay and this is the first item
I have ever listed..... I am an actual business in Miami, fl.
Aquaphoria aquarium at XXXXXXXXXX and have been
building theses units for 19 months.... My sps farm is doing
remarkable with a huge increase in growth and growth points.
These are Cree LEDs ..... I don't have a quantum measuring
device to measure for par but I will say that using a standard
light intensity meter at 30" depth of water there is 30% more
output from my LEDs than my 400 watt mogul socket using a
    lumenbrite reflector

The fact that he has it hanging over a bucket of rocks, but shows a monticap in the last photos tells me he is trying to fool or hide something. I wouldn't buy it.

The first photo is hung differently than photos 2 and 3. In 2 and 3 there's a tank to the right, but not in 1.

The difference that concerns me is the totally different coloration between 2 and 3. 2 is like MH crazy blues, and 3 is like 14k HO T5.

His business seems legit, tho. His email is listed as aquaphoria at mac dot com in the listing, and there's 2 places called Aquaphoria in Florida; one in Miami, one in Homestead. There's YouTube videos of Aquaphoria tank installs, too, so if this guy is legitimately from that company, it's likely reputable.

im going to wait till he gets some feedback on this one... see what the prices go for.

in a second email i asked if he plans to keep them on ebay and what the "local" price in FL is, he said this:
Depends on how this one goes but I see me keeping them
on eBay weekly.... I sell them locally for $699 and have sold
over 400 of them in the last year..... And I know one of my
clients has been shipping them to europe

Looks like it went for about 1/2 of what he retails the fixtures for. Someone either got a very good or very bad deal! Did you win by chance?

i think its legit, he has tuners on them so he can change the color spectrim. Its like people growing out SPS under 6500 kelvin halides then putting them under 20k kelvin to 'colorup'
