I messed up yesterdays calc apparently, today test showed 450. I dosed 80ML of BRS ALK to bring it up slowly to 10-11 from it's current 7.7.

You should let your Mg drop to around 1300. Alk of around 9 to 10 is good.

I had my nose to my monitor to read it. I almost lowered the resolution so it would appear larger.

You can right click on the image and select view image to get a larger view. In fact you should be able to do that for all imbedded images if they are larger than the site default size.

REd Sea kits seem to give bad readings sooner than most or just read bad period, I am not sure which. I would suggest using Seachem or Salifert kits for testing. Salifert tests have expiration dates and some have reference solutions to test how well you are following directions. I like the Salifert alk test for this reason, unfortunately no reference solution in the Ca and I don't know about the Mg kit. Seachem has reference tests in their Mg and Ca kits but no expiration dates but not in the alk. I do not like the color change in the alk kit either.

Thank you. I will look into those. Are the Hanna instruments accurate? I was thinking of buying a couple.

Geez 2in10, I think your trying to ruin my day. I just bought the Ca, mg, alk RedSea test a few weeks ago. I hope they aren't off right from the get go.
