Do you clean the algae/cyano between the sand and the glass?

Do you clean the algae/cyano between the glass and the sand??

    Just wanted to take a poll who does and does not do this. I do mine as needed, usually weekly. Some say not to mess with the sand. I dont think this hurts as it is just the perimeter of three sides--plus I love the way it looks when it is nice and white!!!!

    I use a plastic extendable scraper--basically the same thing.

    Yes for me, and i also use a plastic scrapper for this purpose

    I wouldn't have that much sand in my tank :)

    But if I did I'd want it cleaned.
