oh man i wish i was in your shoes haha, i pay about 160 for water and 140 for sewage, and i only have a 25 gpd ro/di lol they raised all our rates because they started redoing all the drainage in my city before i bought my house...but lets see if they actually drop them to a decent rate when the work is over...somehow i doubt they will lol...the sad thing is those are the cheapest of all my main utility bills...i just had to have this big old house up on a windy cold hill hahaha

I'm not going to tell you what my water bill is. I definitely don't want to look out the window and see all of the torches and pitchforks. Living at the confluence of the Missouri, Illinois, and Mississippi rivers does have it's strong points. (It also has it's weak points though as well. Every single farmer North of us, Northwest of us, and Northeast of us send us their phosphates and nitrates when they fertilize their crops). Those are VERY long rivers.

They didnt used to call it 3 river stadium for nothing hahaha. my water quality isnt the greatest either so yea its not very fair that we pay out the a$$ for water...i wont even drink the water from the faucet and get crystal springs delivered because our water is nasty haha...hmm theres a question, could i use crystal springs for my water changes and top offs? even with a 120 and a 29 it would prob be cheaper to have it delivered then to run the ro/di all day hahaha

You can figure the cost of RO/DI is right at a nickel a gallon to produce on average. That includes water and sewer rates for both the treated and waste flows plus replacement filters and DI resin.

so it would be a little more pricey for crystal springs...but they do come in those handy 5 gallon jugs lol...what i mean is would it be safe to use their water? i think i will try and test it tomorrow when i do my water tests of the tanks and see what the params are....

See if they deliver distilled water, most do. The drinking water will be RO only not RO/DI and may be remineralized for taste. It will have TDS present.
