    Is 20 ppm really that bad I read that as long as your other parameters are okay its not that big of a deal to have some NO3.
    As far as I understood it it was only bad from the point of affecting your PH Etc.

    All of my corals are doing fine with the exception of my two goni's. They havent extented their polps in a while. Some ppl say 20ppm isnt THAT bad, but I'd rather have it at 0-5ppm so I can sleep at night.;D

    Have to be conscientious regarding the number of fish(bioload) to the filtration being employed. If you are running a bigger skimmer than it calls for your particular tank, and have a nice array of corals, clams, and other filter feeders, along with live rock and sand, you are going to be fine. Placing macro algae in your tank(refugium/sump) will also help with dissolved oxygen and removing nitrates and phosphates. Add carbon form time to time and continue weekly water changes.
