Do you have to run 6500k?

Im wanting to get rid of the white look and go a little more blue.. I have a 6500k a purple plus and two blue (420) i have a extra blue bulb.. not sure if its actinic or blue plus but its blue.. i want to add it in.. should i take out the purple plus or the 6500k to replace it with?? and if i do will i be ok with coral growth still??

 

The blue plus puts out decent par , you should still have decent growth if you swap them.

 

But if its not a blue plus and just a blue special it wont? would i be safer to switch the purple plus out ? I also have two panoramas (blue) but you really cant see a dif. with the t5s on

 

My spare bulb is a actinic.. so could I run that the 2 blue 420 (is that actinic or plus?) And my purple? Or should I run the blues with the white ?

 

The 420s are actinic bulbs. An Aquablue is a 12000K bulb. Replace the 6500K with a 10000K to 12000K bulb.

 

So it would be safe to run a 12k blue? Guess I wont be able to add in my spare since its just another actinic bulb.
