The cup is at the highest level bc if i lower it, it foams like crazy and the cup collects way too fast to keep up.

    Thanks

Beyond that, there should be an air intake adjustment on the airline connected to the pump. Turn it down.

It might take a little longer or the skimmer to break in with a light load. It took about 6 weeks for mine to break in with the light load I had.

Do you have a valve on the air intake to the pump? It seems like the way my skimmer would work if I just left the valve all the way open instead of the 1/2 closed I normally run it at...

When you had it up all the way, there was a seal that wasn't sealing properly; that's why you got that many bubbles in the DT. The cup needs to go farther down until that seal is tight.

It's probably a needle valve if it looks like a screw, which is actually really good for fine adjustment like this. You might need to get it near the point where it's closed, and work it back from there. Mine takes about a minute to react to the adjustment, so adjust and let it sit for a minute.

UPDATE: I inserted a lot of Foam where the Jet intakes the water so it can slow down the water intake.. I think the Jet is maybe too powerful?Bubbles have def reduced a lot. I have the max jet 1200.

Great, just need to keep the fine tuning up and you should be happy in a bit.

agreed. i had the same skimmer and hated it. it was loud and bubbles never stop. the design of the baffles inside the skimmer do not stop the bubbles. i switched to a coralife and couldnt be more happy. silent and zero bubbles.
