I can speak for Tangster since he rarely has time to log on these days.

We do not quarantine fish or shrimp but after having had bouts with monti eating nudibranchs, red bugs, hydroids and bryopsis, we do make an effort to quarantine incoming corals if we don't "know" the condition of the tank that they originally came from. Even if the corals come from a trusted source, we dip and scrub the hell out of the rock that they're attached to.

All of my sources are trusted. I have never QT-ed but see the benefits. Protect your investment by doing whatever you can. My fish stores are ran by people I trust and they would never sell me a fish that they haven't had for long and are sure that its healthy. If I had the room, I would setup a QT, but sadly I do not. All of my coral comes from local reefers with good reps. I feel they are beneficial, but not necessary. If you buy all of your corals and fish off of craigslist or walmart, then a QT is 100% a must. If you trust your sources, not so much a must, but a plus.
