Ok i'm reading about food we give to are swimming friends is packed, loaded and frozen with additives and what not. So i'm curious as what to do with this. What to do make of it and what should i do. can anybody help us undrestand this phenomena and the procedure to eliminate the problems that comes with it. I read that we should rince are frozen food before giving it into the tank. If we do that , i'm gona miss the pleasure of seeing my little critter poking at that frozen floating bit that they enjoy. So anybody on the subject.I mostly feed mysis, should i rince it always.

When I feed the tank frozen mysis shrimp cubes...i take the cube and put it in my net, then rinse off and thaw, then feed tank with a baster. But that's just the way I do it ;)

We feed a schmorgesborg of all sorts of food, including krill, mysis, brine, Angel stuff (sponges, etc), and mainly Rod's. Normally it's half Rod's half everything else. The everything else (except angel stuff) gets rinsed every time, and Rod's NEVER gets rinsed. The Rod's food has all sorts of micro stuff that corals and critters eat that would go away if you rinsed it.

Basically, anything that comes packaged as a single item in a cube gets rinsed. If it's a blend of stuff (Angel food and Rod's) it doesn't. But Krill, mysis, and brine all do.
