Do you think i need to change my bulbs?

Yeah you might want to change sooner to eliminate the yellow. You should be able to change all at once since the light strength difference won't be that great. The main difference is the effective light strength time period with the OEM bulbs. They tend to lose effectiveness much quicker as you can see with the white bulbs.

stock bulbs do suck. but money wise you can live until its necessary to replace them all. usually a year or so.

That's why I keep a spreadsheet. I can tell you how old the bulbs are for any tank, how much it cost, and where I got it. That way I don't have to keep remembering who had it cheapest.

I also know the last time I cleaned my pumps/powerheads and soaked them in vinegar, the last time I doublechecked my batteries in my automatic-on air pumps, etc.

This is the most important one that I keep on my spreadsheet. My carbon cartridge is changed every six months like clockwork. If your water supply has chlorine or chloramines in it and you keep making water after the carbon is exhausted, Congratulations!!!! Now you get to buy a very expensive RO membrane.

 

Anyone else think the few areas of algea could be bulb related.
