It has been my exp. that acrylic/plexiglass and glass dont mix. Doesnt matter what bonding agent you use, it will sooner or later give way. Stick with one kind of material.

seems like most glass shops will cut you some glass baffles for 2$ - 4$ each.
use 100% silicone whithout any mold or mildue retardents added

I'm trying to make a sump quickly...as my protein skimmer is shot and my corals are pouting. Plexi-glass from Home Depot would just be easy... If I cut them nice and snug will the silicone atleast seal it off for the time being??

yes, seal both sides of each baffle and let it cure overnight or it will fall apart as soon as you get any pressure against them.

I have a sump that I siliconed two tracks to the sides of the sump and then inserted the acrylic piece into the track so I can remove it when wanting to.
It is still in place after about 15 yrs now.
Even the acrylic piece is hard to remove from the tracks because of calcium build up and when I remove it I take a knife to run down the edges first.
