I have read lots of reviews on this line of skimmers (120/160/180/230), and have yet to read a bad review. I will most likely be getting a 230 soon.

Im looking at getting a 160. I just dont want a skimmer that drains my sump/refuge and i have to adjust all the time.

I'm not sure what you mean by drains your fuge?

As far as SWC, they are a quality mid level skimmer than gives good bang for buck. Nothing wrong with them at all. Same as Reef Octopus. I'll let them fight it out as to who copied who. But you will be happy with a SWC.

Needle wheels in general are set and forget. Not necessarily a SWC or brand thing. Any quality needle wheel will be very consistent. SWC being a quality needle wheel.

Just to put a bug out there... I am actually really curious as to what Warner Marine will be putting out this Spring. Seemed like very comeptitive pricing with what is out there and Warner Marine will be a definite step up over a SWC. If prices are competitive.... it would be worth the wait.

If you have any specific questions, let me know.[/QUOTE]

I'm kinda new about 1 yr. to reefing. What's the big difference between the cone and the extreme. I was thinking of getting the extreme 160 for my new tank 120 gallon. I currently have a swc cone 120 for my 55 gallon and like it.
