does anyone know the morphology of gsp

    i would like to make the polyps extend farther on my gsp, i seem to remember reading that high flow would do this but i cant find out where i read that.

    I have gsp growing crazy at the moment and the mats that are in high flow areas are not realy that different to the ones in the lower flow areas but the older sections of the colonies are the biggest with polyp sizes around 3/4" long.

    Mine have to be in just the right spot. They are tweeky little buggers. I would just move them around until you get maximum extention. That's what I had to do.

    Do you have a pic. I am curious to see what they look like now as I have some that is not extending as well.

    You could also try dosing with Reef Vital DNA. It boasts polyp extension. I see results...I notice that when I don't use it, all my corals just don't do as well...so...

    Does that product not contain copper.

    ehhh:-/ it does have copper in it. why do all these companies put copper in a dosing product?

    It does have traces of copper...but I've never noticed it affecting anything in my tank and I keep Softies, SPS, and LPS'...and fish.:confused:
