does anyone know what kind of eel this is

    I just bought it from my local fish store and they didnt know and i cant seem to find out what it is on the internet thanks alot

    Definitely an engineer goby. Not a great reef addition if you indeed have one. They make tunnels under the rocks and will topple it if it is not secure.In the future you may want to find out what something is before you purchase it. Buying something when you have no idea what its care or requirements are is dangerous for your tank and the animal. Good luck and welcome to 3reef

    watch your rocks and make sure the engineer goby doesnt weaken your structure. These guys like to dig around under the sand by your rocks and can cause the rocks to fall over........especially one that big!
