does anyone know who to go to if i have a outline for my scape but i cannot make it because i would need to buy oyster shells, portland cemet and etc and let it cure, but does anyone know who can do my scape if i have an outline and a picture to give them the idea how to scape my aquascape? if so PLEASE LMK!!!!

i have a 24x24x20H cube and i want to build my scape as spiral stairway but with the bottom as like a large circle rock and then it starts in the middle, i want to use flat rocks as the spiral but i dont want it to look like its fake, i like the way LR looks so i want it to look like its really LIVE ROCKS lol.

I really don't trust myself curing the rock, it would be cool because I can set it to my likings but the curing stages I just don't know how to test for ph in freshwater, and don't know if I should use just tap water or r.o water. and do i use all cemete or do i have to use some LR and some cemete rock

I would tell you to find a nice peice of LR for the base and the search local LFS's in your area for flat lace rock. The dry stack it to your liking and hen glue it together. Just my 2cents. I have always liked the look of lace rock. Could you upload the pic of the scape you like? That would give us more of an idea.

You can also use a tile wet saw to cut peices of LR, to make it flat.

DIY LR is made from portland cement mixed with calcium carbonate sand. You'll need to use RO/DI water and a FW PH test kit, although it can take up to 6 months for the portland to stop leaching. I agree with the others- it may be easier to cut dry base or lace rock to the desired sizes/shapes then glue them together.

That said, it sounds like a really cool project.

That would look awesome. I'd go with flat or cut base rock as well, that would also look more natural IMO. Good luck with your project.

Where are you located? It wouldn't help much if I knew a vendor in Texas and you were in Bangladesh...

As it is, I know LivingColor in Fort Lauderdale, FL does custom work, livingcolor.com.

I think you can buy sliced rock from Marco Rocks. That would probably be your best bet.
