I was wondering how easy or hard is it to read API kit. Also how reliable is it?

I have used them for my Freshwater, and it's fine except for Nitrate as the color is different than the chart.

    Thanks

So you meant, the reading is not reliable? I am talking about pH, Amonnia, Nitrite, Nitrate.

If they are not outdated, and you follow the instructions to a tee. They are fairly accurate.

For cycling tanks and measuring pH, Amonia, Nitrite and Nitrate API is just fine.

Once the tank is established, I don't find myself checking Amonia and Nitrite much. I use salifert for Nitrate. All pH kits are about the same really. All have color charts that rarely match the color of your vial :)

I agree, The color in the test tube can look different walking from room to room in my house (different lighting) I found that my kitchen flourecent light seemed to make them match the best.

Yup, that's what I do for the freshwater.

I thought the Master marine kit is basically all Nitrate, nitrite, Amonnia, and pH.
