I bought a used Red Sea ozone generator on a whim, but not sure if I want to set it up. I'm afraid that I don't understand how simple or difficult ozone is, and its danger to the tank if there is a little "accident". I have a reefkeeper (but no ORP probe yet), so I have a means of controlling it.
Anyone out there with ozone experience that can help me decide?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Still, I hear it makes your water so clear it looks like your fish are flying!

Ok, perused the links (thank you!)
    No ozone for Helen.
Anyone want to buy a generator cheap :)

I dont use it myself, but in college, I worked at a public aquarium and they used it in the main shark tank....the one thing I will say is when it was on, the water was clear as glass, when it went down the water was much cloudier...so much so that if you looked in the tank and it was a bit foggy...the first reation was always...check the ozone!

I had also read somewhere..I cant seem to find it on line...that there was a study that was trying to link the use of ozone of an increase in lateral line disease in captive fish....I am trying to find that link though...will post it if I can find it

It's not the controller I would be concerned about. I would be concerned about operator error. I forgot where but a few years ago some big public aquarium nuked the whole tank. Killed everything sharks and all
