I decided to start using Coral Pro salt and I have done two partial water changes with it now, six gallons in total with the new salt mix. Since the new water with the new salt mix, my torch coral has not come out like it usually does and my biggest head on the torch isn't really coming out at all now. The salinity was kept the same at 1.026... No changes in that and the only changes in the water parameters has been and increase in mag and calcium.

The changes in Calcium, Mag, and Alk will affect the corals. They will perk up shortly as long as you are keeping your salinity the same.

I use Coral Pro as well. You should like it. Very good salt.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    +1,

Same thing happened to me when I switched to Reef Crystals. I did not take into consideration the difference in values for Magnesium and such.... Kinda of scared me the first time.

I've been worried sick...testing my water twice a day and not being able to find anything wrong with it ha. I'm very impressed with this salt. I read where sone people can't get it to mix up properly and I have not had any problem at all.
