hi, everyone:), I am a newbie, is anyone have using the Digital Aquatics Reef keeper Lite Aquarium Controller (L3) http://www.digitalaquatics.com/saltwater/RKL or something similar, i would like to know how reliable they are? does it mean i don't have to do water testing no more? is there any controller can Monitor all need of the water quality? im not try to be lazy, just little bit worry about that i might have to kill so many many livestock to get " mine task". i rather spend the money on the right monitor or controller than spend money to kill them.:( if anyone have any recommended for which monitor or controller i should use, please advise me. thanks you very much for any of your value opinion. thanks:kiss:

yip I have the RKL.and love it.it will help you automate/control a lot of stuff.ph, spgr, add ato, controll heater light ect...you will still have to/should do routine water testing regardless..there are more mointors you can buy to check this that and the other thing BUT they are all electronic and unfortunatly electronics fail...so to say are these things safe yes and no..but I still love my RKL(especialy for the price)..HTH...

Yes I have the plus..no net as I don't really have a need for it now..might upgrade to the elite in the future.but for now this is more than enough..you will not do better than $279 ish..it seems to be lowest across the board..I purchased mine from marinedepot.just do a search for them.I have purchased a lot of stuff from them, great service...but do some research, there are other controllers that may fit what your looking to do..I'm sure tommorrow more people may chim in...

If you actually using it, can you tell me more about it. does it able to be a wave-maker too. the reason why I am asking because I don't have nothing alive in the task now.::) i only have the water fill-up since 23rd April. it is being circling. I also have mega-flow model 4 sump, coealife220 skimmer, #2.#4 power head each and 80 lb Indo live rock. that all I have. I know I am missing a lot of equipments, such as heater, lighting, wave-maker, all water electrical monitor......etc.:-/ Therefore i need to see RKL or RKE how helpful, how they could save my money on the other equipment.

I only heard good stuff about that controller... I have an aquatronica which i paid 750 Euros for and it is malfunctioning... one day showing a salinity of 1.013 and the next 1.052 while my refractometer always reads a consistant salinity of 1.024 tops. I don't get it and am p... at my lfs guy here in Spain. After spending all this money he got mad that I was sending him several emails (my tank heated to over 86 F) because HE programmed it wrong. Oaahhh..
Anyway, don't want to talk about my problems.... I think your choice is a great one... the price is right and it is reliable.
