Some strange behavior in the video...
YouTube - Blue Tang With Ich?

She's been doing this off and on since I got her last week. I'll see a tiny spot(smaller than a grain of sand) one day and then none the next. She seems happy, and she thinks she's a clown, swimming with my two false percs all day long.. she also eats copods off the back glass all day.

Now another peice of evidence for ich.. she was presenting herself to the goby I got the same day as her, rubbing against his mouth wanting to be cleaned... goby died this morning.

If she has ich, do I move just her to the QT or do I move my clowns there with her as well? Also, I know hyposalinity kills ich but how fast do you lower the SG in the QT?

    Thanks!

I can pass along what I've been advised here on SG, lowering it quickly in the QT is fine, raising it SLOWLY is the issue when it's ready to come back up. For the true hyposalinity, 1.009 seems to be the target to kill ich. I'd wait for others to reply before you take action, but if it's worse, putting her in QT with low SG will give her some relief. Good luck

do you know your parameters? usually stress lowers the immune system causing a ich out break. the hippo it could be the move but you said your goby died too. if you fill out the link in my signature beneath my post we can help more

Sorry, should have mentioned that, all parameters are perfect. 0 amm, nitrites and nitrates, 380 calcium, 3.09 mag, 8.2 ph, 1.024 SG. I just moved 10 gallons from the DT to the QT, should I put some of that back in the DT and just add fresh water? Also, do I just move the tang there or all 3 fish? 2 false percs and the tang. They're all pretty small and the tank is a 10gal.

i would never add qt water to a dt. replace it with fresh saltwater when you can. its up to you if the other fish look bad or not.
if the ich isnt bad right now i would just treat with garlic and vitamin suplements on the fishes food as most of the time in good water the fishes immune system can beat ich on its own.

if they seem to be covered in white spots qt may be the were to go.

edit: sorry if you already set the qt up before i posted about the garlic and vitamins

The clowns seem perfectly normal right now, no spots or itching. I read somewhere that if you get ich in the tank though, you have to remove all fish in order for the ich to die out, otherwise the healthy fish may only be serving as a host for future outbreaks... salt water experts...what say you? :)

Then quit reading somewhere! :) ICH is in every tank. It's usually not a problem unless the fish is stressed (in which case it becomes immuno-compromised, and will contract ICH). I am usually an advocate of feeding foods fortified with garlic, careful monitoring, and cleaner shrimp/wrasse. I have written many entertaining rants to that effect which explain why I take this approach.

if you want your fish in the qt for 2 months you can do that. healthy fish shouldnt have ich out breaks unless theres something wrong with the water or having trouble with other inhabitants.

My preference would be to leave them all in the display tank and make sure the parameters stay perfect which isn't hard as I'm using 120lbs of established live rock; my params have been perfect for the last 2 months. I have a cleaner which I've heard some people say cures ich, and others say it does nothing for the ich. I can't really feed the tang garlic as it's not interested in much food I give it, it feasts on copods on my back glass all day long so I can't blame it, I wouldn't eat crappy fish flakes either (formula 1 and 2, seaweed, and mysis).

So.... did anyone watch the video? Is that a sign of ich for sure?

yes it is a sign of ich in the video. garlic and be put on mysis shrimp too.
the cleaner will help if the ich gets bad, usually the fish will volunteer itself to be cleaned if its in horrible condition
