    yea ill be diong a water change on the reef tomorrow then got to clean the toads tank, at least i have 2 tanks to clean instead of 3 i usually clean all 3 in one day but since i finally got my RC rock for my puffer's tank i ended up doin that wc today

    thats not bad, i usually do a 5 gall on the 20 and on the 46, i end up doing my 20 first and just using the water from my 46 so i dont go through water so fast

    Did you see that Dirty Jobs episode, one of the first few, where the neighbors sewage backed up and sprayed all over their basement, came up through the bathroom. Maybe that's what's getting ready to happen to your bathroom. Sure hope not though, that would be a gigantic mess. Not trying to freak you out or anything :).

    that would actualy be a 1:9 dilution

    For a 1:10 you would mix 1 cup of bleach with 10 cups of water to have a total of 11 cups. It's "one for every 10" not "one out of every 10"

    A 1:10 dilution means one part in a total of ten. There are three different ways to prepare a 1:10 dilution: 1) the weight-to-weight (w:w) method; 2) the weight-to-volume (w:v) method; and 3) the volume to volume (v:v) method. In the weight-to-weight method, 1.0 g of solute is dissolved in 9.0 g of solvent, yielding a total of ten parts by weight, one of which is solute.

    In the weight-to-volume method, enough solvent is added to 1.0 g of solute to make a total volume of 10 ml. In this method, one part (by weight) is dispersed in ten total parts (by volume). Since most biological solutions are very dilute, the accuracy of most research is not affected if a previously weighed solute is dissolved in the desired volume of solvent.

    The volume to volume method is preferred when the solute is a liquid. One milliliter of solute, such as ethanol, added to 9.0 ml of water yields a ten-part solution, one part of which is the solute.
