I thought I recall reading this in the instructions...

My calium reactor media is due to be replaced... lately I noticed my alk and pH have been dropping...

is that an indication that the media really does need to be replaced?

No. I've never read that. are you using A.R.M? My media needs replacing when it's gone or a paste at the bottom of the chamber.

That's odd it would cause a drop in Alk and PH how's the CA?

What is the C02 output, Has it changed?

I use the big stuff - Gen X.

I haven't checked everything, but what I noticed last time is that when I first set it up it stabilized my alk and calcium. Lately they have been dropping back to pre-reactor levels. I assumed it was because 3 months of passed and I thought I should replace the media. Perhaps it just needs adjusting? I have a lot of media left.

How often are you changing your media?

Oh maybe every 10 months or so. Do you have a lot of growth. Maybe your corals are just using a whole lot more

Ha. I doubt it. Especially after my recent crash. I'll do some homework and get back to ya after I do some tests.
