What do you guys think of this stocking list? All of the fish are going to be in a 75-gallon tank, which is four feet long, which will have 60-75 lbs. of live rock, 1 1/2" of live sand, and a protein skimmer.(no sump)

    List:
    2 ocellaris clowns(mated pair)
    1 regal tang(Juvenile)
    1 yellow tang(Juvenile)
    1 neon goby
2 clown gobies OR 2 bicolor blennies(mated pair)
    1 flame dwarf angel
    Some cleaner shrimp
    Some hermit crabs
1 bubble tip anemone OR 1 saddle anemone(Which is more likely to host with the o. clowns?)
Some random softies, maybe some mushrooms.

Joe, which btw is the best name on earth!;D
I would skip the regal/blue/hepatus/dory tang, they get far too large for a tank less than 6'x2' and that is small. Plus unless added together the two tangs have a good chance of bickering. The hepatus are also fairly tough to keep, I know many will deny that and no, I don't mean it towards all you expierenced keepers, but to beginners and intermediate keepers, it can be tough to keep them happy and free of HLLE. Or ick for that matter.
I would skip the saddle as they require COPIOUS lighting and are tough to keep but most of all WILL EAT YOUR FISH!! On top of that, they reproduce very slow in the wild and it is only fair to do our duty and let them procreate in the wild instead of threatening their survival.
Clown gobies will be easy to find a mated pair because like clowns they will change sex, only down side is they are small, hide alot and only live about 2 years.
The bicolor blennies will be hard to find as a pair, but if you do it would be very neat to see!!

    Otherwise the list looks great!

    Good luck and happy reefing!

If you are just starting up your tank you really should wait a year before adding an anemone. I've read several books that say BTAs do the best in aquaria so I'd go with that one. I have one and it is great to watch. As for the clowns, I would not go with ocellaris if you want them tho host a BTA. Go with tomatos or clarkii. Maroons are the natural host for a BTA but they are very aggressive. Clarkii supposedly will host anything but I don't think their coloring is all that great. Tomatos look nice and they will host BTAs. They say they can be aggressive. Mine is really but seems fine.

I have both a yellow and regal tang in my tank. The regal was very small when I got it about a year ago, maybe an inch. Now it is about two inches long. I know someday I'll have to move him to another tank. Right now he's great and he and my yellow get along even though the yellow was introduced first and is much much larger. If you want a regal be choosy and plan on moving him some day because they will get huge. So many of them look poor at the store with faded coloring or ich. A lot are caught with cyanide. I always vowed not to get one because they always looked bad at stores. Then I saw one with spectacular coloring and looked very healthy at Petco of all places. I always refused to buy there but this was the best regal tang I had ever seen. Within the first month he did get a few white spots on him but they faded and have never returned. He has been doing great ever since. He's a great fish and adds a lot to the tank and he probably won't overgrow it for 4 years or so.

If you want a mated pair of clown gobies, I would wait till you have some branching SPS or cup corals in the tank. And then, you will proably need to get 5-6. Getting just two is risky because they might not mate up and then fight. OR, you could get one BIG one and one little itty bitty one. I did that after one of my mated pair died... took a while, but they are friends now.

PS, I say go true perculas vs. the ocellaris (unless you like the look of them better...)

I love the true percs deep coloring :)
