I just wanted to know if your dwarf angel picked at corals, clams or inverts or if it is on its best behavior and stays away from corals and inverts. Please answer the poll, then tell me what type of angel you have and any notes on its behavior. Thanks

Flame Angel. Has only nipped at my acans when I wasn't feeding it enough. Never took any chunks out of the coral but prevented it from extending. I now feed a bit earlier in the day (6pm instead of 9pm). It hasn't bothered anything besides rock since. Great fish to watch while it swims in and out of the rock work and the colors are gorgeous.

Both my flame angel and coral beauty never show sign of interest on corals.

i have a flame angel that also nipped at my lone acan frag. since the coral was easier to catch, i sold it back to the LFS. he doesn't seem to be interested in any of my other coral. sorry, it won't let me vote.

dont know if a koran angel is a dwarf or not, but it wasn't reef safe. i got it as a small juvenile, and it was fine for about a year, but than as it began to mature and get close to changing, it consumed my tank. first the zoas, then a clam(!), then everything but sps.

I don't believe it is. It's not in the Centropyge genus

ive got a flame and coral beauty. neither has done any nipping of my corals, clam or inverts. but i did show them the filet knife before introduction. not sure if that had anything to do with it. :)

    I voted sometimes

I have had in different set ups on different occasions
coral beauties - 2 off (not in same tank at same time)
    flame angel
    flame back
    rusty

the rusty was fine and never touched any coral
the others all of them browsed various corals , in fact one of my coral beauties frequently pecked at a leather coral I had, and even when I didnt see it, I knew it had done so as the coral would retract polyps during middle of day and then open again later
this was its reaction everytime the beauty pecked at it, so even when I did not see the action, I could see from the leathers disposition that it had happened again

my flame back is an odd ball
it sampled some early days, so I moved him to the 4ft- since then I have moved the corals that he once pecked at into the 4ft , and as yet the fish has not bothered them at all? strange indeed.
