I have a Lemonpeel now for over a year. He knipped at a gonipora in the early going over a year ago but he's been good since. I value my angels over my corals, there is no comparison. But, I still keep my eyes open. There are certain corals I stay away from.

Sad thing about that... I KNEW that! ;D
I was at the frag swap and I entered a whole new world of joy . Corals as far as the eye can see, of different types and prices! I was in Heaven. I am USUALLY  a little more careful with my purchases but not that day! I NEVER, EVER even thought of that little sweet angel in my tank :-X, even when I placed it in there. Then she left it alone and it wasnt for months later that she remembered that she was in fact an angel fish and enjoys eating sponges! She did not touch anything else for a year or so, and like I said she is getting taste for acans. (must be something about acans...)

Yea, the only coral I am really concerned about is my acans and one chalice frag. I don't care if it picks at it every once in a while, but I don't want it eating or killing it. I'm thinking about getting either a coral beauty or cherub but I want to see what they have. I'll be going to That Pet Place so they should have a nice selection.

i have had a coral beauty and flame angel in my tank for a year now and havent any problems with them picking corals. i love their color and think they are a great addition to my tank. im glad i choose to ignore advice from my friends (probably very good advice).

My coral beauty occasionally nips at a kenyia tree but i think leaves the rest of the tank alone.

My flame angel is a perfect citizen in my mixed reef.

Ive had coral beauties, flames, and pygmy cherubs (in different tanks) all behave themselves. They were only aggressive towards other fish, but never nipped at corals or inverts.

I had to vote yes, reef safe. My Coral Beauty hasn't touched anything in the three years I've had it. I've also had, in past setups, Flame and Bicolor Angels- same behavior.

FWIW, I've often heard that, given the proper diet, they will behave. I do cultivate green algae for mine to nibble on, and feed a wide variety of frozen meaty foods along with kelp and spinach.

    Cheers
