I'm looking for opinions on Euroreef or ASM skimmers! Do they work well, are they efficient?

If you get a few referrals on the site right now, you'd have a chance to actually get an ASM for free. Check out the contest on the site news. :)

I have read very good reviews on both of them but I don't have any experience with them.

The asm is a good skimmer although I think it would operate better in a deep sump mine is in about 8 " of water and I have to keep the extension tube all the way up, when I run my sump deeper the skimmer works much better but the display tank looks rough if you can see the waterline and return makes too much noise

Go with the ASM. It will skim as well as the euroreef for alot less money. Since i started carrying the ASM i have not sold a single euroreef and no one has complained about anything on the ASM series yet!

If you're in the market, be sure to check out AquaC EV series. I love mine, and I think lots of others would agree. They are considered among the best. (as are EuroReef ... but AquaC are less $$)

The best part about them is that they are set and forget. You don't need to worry about water level in the sump effecting performance. They can also be used in the sump or externaly, which is nice.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm leaning to the ASM. I just wondering how well it will work in my sump with the water level being only 8" deep?
