This is my friends 75g, Says he "doesnt believe in water changes" nor does he believe in testing his water.. Had his tank up and running for 5 years. Doesnt treat treat algae blooms, or anything else, says the tank will do it itself... Heres his tank. How do you guys feel about that??

Is there only 2 fish in a 75g? That's how they are getting away with it.

I mean yes, It may not be the cleanest of all tanks. But as for losing livestock, and corals hes never had an issue, Theres been a couple of times where some corals dont look PRIME, but they always end up coming back and flourishing! Dont know how he does it, One time I saw a bad outbreak of red slime, he didnt do ANYTHING and it eventually all went away. His method as he calls it is just "wait it out. it will die off"

I don't know if is me or what. But to me it looks like the corals are not showing their true beautiful colors!! I think is BS not testing or keeping up with WC. As far as I have read and heard from reefers is STABILITY is the KEY!

To be brutally honest, other than some of the soft coral, the corals look very brown, bleached and/or just unhealthy/dying. The tang looks anorexic and there isn't anything particularly difficult to keep. He may "get away with it", I guess. However, "getting away with it" sort of depends on his goals. I'd be furious if my tank looked like that, but I am OCD and have different goals I guess LOL. Really whatever makes you happy to look at is you choice... It's not an awful tank, it's actually nice in a lot of ways, but certainly could be a lot better.
