Dog ate mangroves...

Yes. Dale my 4 month old golden ate my mangroves.

I was messing with my skimmer and doing a little sump maintenance when I got a call to see if I wanted to go study with some people..I did so I put Dale on the porch and got in the shower. When I came out I found dale lying on the floor in front of my tank. My biggest concern was how he got inside...I guess I didn't slide the door shut all the way to the porch. So I leave and when I got home I looked in my sump to see all but one of the tops chewed off my mangroves. Mad is an understatement.

Needed to vent.

I feel your pain, my dog and cat are like bonny and clyde. The cat starts the trouble and teases my dog into doing worse damage! Had the worst time with them eating my house plants until i coated them in cyan pepper Packing peanuts are another one of their favorite mischief makers!

I guess he wanted a salad LOL

 

i think puppies are prettyier than mangroves but....

 

if he just ate the tops leave them in, they should grow back as long as the roots are intact

 

Yeah the roots are fine...I'm just pretty much starting from scratch..i had quite a few leaves going.

 

At least he didn't eat something that was expensive.
