Let me rephrase it. Haha. The seriousness of the Shepherd, and the nonviolent nature of the collie. My brother has one. Very loyal and great around kids. My brother has one, and I fell in love (not trying to be weird) when it nudged my hand, laid down, and wanted to be pet. :)

And as for your bull dog suggestions... A Bull Mastiff is on my list too, just for the size. I'm wondering how big the food bills would be.

Great looking dog! Very nice coloring. I have a Chocolate Labrador, and they are really smart. Mine knows how to open the front door, and is about the most stubborn and lazy dog I've ever seen. Hopefully if I get a new dog, I can train it right, and it can train him right.

So did I. I thought he'd be more active than our goldens. But I was wrong. He wakes up, eats, sleeps on the couch all day, I come home. Take him for a ride, short walk, eats again, sleeps. And that's it. I try to get him to do more, but he refuses. Sometimes he has his moments, though.
