I've had an aquarium my whole life. I've never had a fish outgrow a tank faster than I can meet his requirements. This fish won't be too big for this tank for a long time. If anything they are enjoying their new tank, compared to the box they were living in at the LFS.

O.K. great but it doesn't sound to me as if they are enjoying it. Hope they settle down for you. Good luck.

The puffer I've had a while and he was the tank master before the tang. He was always up front swimming up and down and showing great personality. The tang stresses him out for sure though, I'm gonna return him tomorrow :(

you could try to turn the lights off and rearrange the rocks a little. Sometimes that will help.........

did that, deffinetly helped but the puffer is still a darker shade than he should be.

edit: the puffer is back to normal.

this will probably keep happening untill they have enough space to acclimate peacefully. other than that i drop acclimate my fish ina black bucket and the tip given to turn lights off is a good one.

Yeah I let them sit in the bag in my tank water for 10 minutes then add a cup ful or so of my water over the course of like 2 minutes let em sit another little bit then net the fish and put him in. The guy at the LFS acclimated the tang for like 30 seconds then poured him right into their tanks, with my tank water and all...

wow, thats a little fast. personally it takes me 1h- 1h 15 mins before i start moving my fish into my tank. as i said i drop acclimate them so takes a little longer but i feel its safer, would recomend it as i feel its the best way to acclimate fish.

once i place my fish inside they seem happy and go round exploring the new home.
