My dog is a cocker spanial that is about 6 and he just had a 6:00 minute seizure. Do we have any vets here that could help me from preventing this next time? It was the most scariest thing ever. He was first breathing really hard and fast and trembling then he just flipped out. Has anyone seen this before??

Whoa that must have been scary; I'd recommend going to a vet to get him checked out. Hopefully it doesnt happen again

Cocker's are known for them. Your vet will prescribe anti-seizure meds.

I have a chihuahua that has them every so often, I was told by a vet that it could be a drop in sugar levels or could be triggered by many other things.

First off sorry that's very scary I had a boxer that had them often, it was so scary I used too just hold him until it stopped. I agree the med can prescribe Meds.

How scary! I'm sorry you had to see this. It would upset me greatly :(

Get him to the vet asap. It could be anything that caused the seizure and that may need to be treated or he may need anti-seizure meds. They can also check him over and make sure he has no damage from the seizure. So go, quickly!
