dogface puffer has whitestuff on fins but not ich-like?

    all the other fish are fine minus him. he was also the latest addition to the tank. had him maybe 3 weeks and just developed symptoms a few days ago but i thought it was at first air bubbles from the filters.

    not sure if it is lymphocystis either.

    its just got small blotches on the fins. i try to get a closer look but he thinks im being weird so he curls up and hides. he is eating well though and i cleaned the tank and did a 2/10 (ish) tank change today

    all i have is a camera on my phone which wont pick up that detail. im going to browse online to see what most looks like what i am dealing with and show you guys via that.

    ok i am not having that much luck finding pics meeting my description. but see how this porq. puffer has a few small distinct bright spots? mine doesn't look like that. it is more subdued and barely noticeable only when directly under the light. its more transparent i guess you can say.

    Could be velvet if saltwater fish get it.
