I also agree with easy stuff. I don't care too much for anemones, but, will definitely have one in the tank with a clown. I think it is important to teach about symbiotic relationships within the reef along with all the other mysterys of the ocean.

Sorry, I forgot I'm in Mayberry..The kids in HS here(two of them one public, one private) usually go home after school and do chores and homework. The nearest mall of any kind is an hour away. They would love something like this. I wonder if I should go to the science teacher....oh wait, I have to figure out what I'm doing before I try to teach others

I think we are going to target 10 year olds (5th graders). And to help spark interest we are going to use a lot of the fish featured on FINDING NEMO. Lagoon I think will be the best way to go with some Mushrooms and Zoas with a large clean up crew. As 3reefers I think we can all do something like this in are areas. We want to promote the hobby as well as show the importance of reef conservation. In the end the only thing we have to lose is not trying.

Sounds like a great idea guys. I'm a science teacher myself so I hope you don't mind if I make a few suggestions.
    - Do you have a teacher in mind that you'd be working with? Probably better to start with them and have them approach their school administration about the project.
    - It's a bit late in the year to be starting something like this up. Not only would you only have only 2 months or so before summer hits...and then who'll be taking care of the tank?
    - Also, at this point in the year most teachers have their curriculum planned out for the rest of the year. It might be best to get in contact with a teacher now and plan on starting the tank and program next school year.

Hope this helps...let me know if I can offer any more "inside" advice...
