I got the last of the rock I will add to my tank, unless I find a realy nice piece at a LFS. This new rock has very little coralline on it, there is no sponge or any other dying or decaying matter on it, so will it effect the cycle in my tank? The ammonia has gone from over 2.5ppm to 0.50ppm and I hope it won't spike again.

Yeah that looks like enough rock!;)
You shouldn't see a spike from then new rock! Your amm should drop to zero and not spike again unless you add too many critters at once or overfeed!

oooh yea! the entire tank was pretty much rearranged to make place for the new rock, I hope it don't stay high for to long, I started to have life popping out of the caribbean rock, I hope they survive it.
