I do like the low profile nature of the tank. Can prolly have SPS at the bottom in there with some decent lights because of those dimensions. You going to drill it?

I have one of these fixtures (the 48in one) and it works well, I can keep acropora in the upper half fine. They are cheap and they work IMO but there are definetly better fixtures out there

I also have this light fixture(24in tho) for my 20gal and it works very nicely as Brennan said. Ordered mine from ebay tho, it was a good deal cheaper.

Nice score. I noticed the stand has no support under the top. Looks like it has thru bolts. If it were me I would add some 2x4s under the top 2x4 for added support.
That is long and low. You could have 3 or 4 separate islands in there and not look crowded.
    I'll tag this build.

Thanks for asking JJL,the 65 unfortunately had to hit the curb. While cleaning it,I flipped it upside down to find all 4 corners of the trim (the frame that holds the tank together) was mitre cut at 45% angles like a picture frame, meaning the only thing holding it together was the silicone, lol.
I have small kids in the house and just couldn't let myself trust it.I would have love to seen it set up though, big disappointment.

But ironically,I just had my floors leveled and braced (old house) and went with this 55 I had setting on the back burner.Just set the stand and filled it today.I added a small bag of sand about 10 minutes before this pic but i'm waiting on more sand to show up.I'll be ordering my light fixture tonight which will probably just be an oddysea 216watt t5 as i'll only be keeping softies and some lps (like always :)).

Before adding the sand I couldn't wait to test my pair of the new maxijet 1200 pros and i must say they are beast,it's gonna take a little finesse to get these adjusted without blowing corals off the rocks or causing constant sandstoms. They would have rocked that 65g.

Also a couple shots from today of the nanocube.

It does look like a flatscreen and it doesn't have a very good picture :cheesy:

I still get all antsy in my pantsy's when i see that cloudy water though.Another new beginning.
