I dont know how I missed this, but MAN THIS LOOKS GOOD. Haha. Im sure your really excited man. Keep up the good work! If it turns out looking anywhere near as good as your cube (which it will) it will be an awesome tank.

Thank BoBo,thats exactly what i have in mind,i love the flowing softies, but what they lack in color will be made up for with the other side of the tank.

Yeah,i'm not real sure i care to have 3 tanks goin at one time,i don't know how some of you people with multiple tanks do it,i'm too lazy ;D

Thanks Mag,this is a standard 55,the tank at the beginning of the thread turned out to be a flop,so i moved to this one.And i agree, skinny tanks are very hard to keep from that "rock wall" look. This one will probably be no different, lol, except i'm just dividing the wall in two,one larger for the softies, one smaller for the rest.I'm also counting on the overgrowth of the softies covering alot of the scape futher preventing it looking like a rock wall.

    and UPS just came!Woot!

The building stage is the best. So exciting. Time goes by so slow waiting for shipments of equipment to come in or cycling. But yeah, Ive been on hiatus from being in school. But Id say Im coming back strong. lol Im gonna wait to post pictures until everything is just right though.

Heres a shot of the new lights,1st both 10ks and actinics,2nd pic actinics,3rd moonlights.

Please excuse the wiring mess,it'll be cleaned up once everything is switched over.Looks like a fire waiting to happen at the minute.lol!

Plus these new lights just made me aware of some scratches i didn"t know I had, lol! Thankfully, they're pretty small.

Those look pretty darn nice. Are you happy with them. Corals are going to look great under them, especially the zoanthids.

Thanks Cheryl,Yeah i'm very impressed,my camera doesn't pic up true colors very well (it's me,not the camera),but they are blinding bright and the moonslights give a great shimmer on the bottom.I really need to do a little research on my camera and settings as all my tank shots don't show the true coral colors and it always looks darker than it really is.Thats my next project.::)

    Babies!

Well, not much happening with the 55 since it's in the middle of its cycle. But i did move some of the coral along with the damsel and dottyback over to the 10g holding tank to make room in the 28 for some new friends.I got some real babies,a pair of oc clowns and a royal gramma, all 3 are about 1 inch long(there sooo tiny!lol). Also got a tiny orangespot prawn goby, some yellow polyps and a cool yellow/green duster. All 4 of these fish together are smaller than the 2 fish that was removed,so i should see no effects of an upset bioload and i'm feeding alot less amount but a little more often being they're so small.

I have a couple small flow corrections to make and clean a little more silt that has settled on equipment off, otherwise the 55 is good to go.Come on cycle,i'm ready!!!!:)

The are really nice grinder, looking very healthy. Even your QT looks nice. Getting quite a lot of corals. What are your parameters starting to look like in the 55 gallon?
