We just got a new BTA on Wenesday in the mail and he's looking great exept for the fact that he's to the botom of our tank. We put him in pretty high but he moved all the way down to the sand level and this morning he is halfway behind a rock and we can bearly see him! Should we try and move him closer to the light again? Half his base is on a pretty small piece of live rock so don't think it would be too hard, but if he's open a looking healthy I don't want to move him just so he can make his way down again, but I though they needed/wanted the bright lights??

Don't move it! They are very picky about where they want to stay. It's probably stressed from being shipped so it's trying to hide basically. Give it some time and if it needs more light, it will move itself to a better spot. Sometimes they go to the most inconvenient spots in the tank, but if it's where they want to be, then who are we to argue. How old is your tank and what kind of lights do you have? Welcome to 3reef BTW!

Same story here. Ive had my BTA for about 2months. Im running 4 250watt DE halides in my 135, I put him up top next morning he is down at the very bottom behind a rock. I moved him one more time he ended back in the same spot. Been there ever since.
