I ordered LIVE Coral to be delivered overnight to my house.
I wake up early at 7:30 and am waiting for my shipment. Nothing comes.
I call Usps to make sure my package is coming.
The USPS representative on the phone tells me that the package has
arrived at the Post Office and will be delivered in the future and not today.
I call again, another representative tells me she doesn not know where the
package is and when it will be delivered today or tomorrow or even after but it will be between 8am - 5pm.
During this time im tracking my package every hour or so online.
No info is given online other then the package arrived at post office at 9:18am.
Finally i recieve a notice online saying an attempt to deliver the
package was made at 11:30 am and a note was left. Nobody came close to
the house all day. That is a fact! No attempt! No note was left! Not at my house.
At this point i am frustrated. I have dedicated my whole day to wait for this package.
So it is 4pm and i am going nuts trying to reach USPS to try to figure out how to pickup
my package from the post office. 1st call i am told that they dont know where my package
is and gave me a number to call 310-247-3470. The number doesnt work. So i call back and
i am told that my package is currently at BH Post Office and i can come pick it up before 5.
I get to the post office going nuts through traffic and finally get to the post office.
I wait in line only to be told i cant pickup the package today and that i must come back tomorrow morning.
I know that information isnt correct either because the package will probably be on the truck for delivery.
Crazy thing is i dont care about all the trouble i went through, i just wanted the coral to live.

This is heartbreaking to me. USPS has made an enemy out of me. Not only will i refrain from using their services but i will be their enemy. Take it from me, dont use USPS!
Dont believe anything they tell you. I will never again!

    Corals i ordered:
    2 sm colonies of Acans
    1 Hammerhead
    1 Yuma colony
    1 Yuma
    1 Zoa Colony

Do you think they will make it until tomorrow morning?

It's a government office so they can screw you if they want. :-/ May be cheaper but I always go with DHL, FedEX or UPS for overnight. Hope they make it alive.

I have had no luck with usps. But if they do screw up then on over night orders they have automatic insurance for up to $100. I am going through a clam right now with them.

I think they'll be fine. They' usually pack them pretty good and it's not like they'll oxygen starve, just hope that the temp isn't too bad. GL!

Honestly, everything should be ok if packed properly, at least in my opinion. The acans, zoas and yumas are all very hardy corals. The 'hammerhead' i believe you mean 'hammer' somtimes don't ship well and can be prone to brown jelly as a result. If the corals were healthy when they left and packed well I think you should be ok, hopefully. But I can understand what your going through, I would be nuts.

my mailman is the worse at delivering things...I work from home so I am always there! I was waiting for some IRA stuff that had to be signed for. When I went to go get my mail there was a slip stating that this was a final attempt..that several attempts were made but nobody was home so I had to pick it up at the Post Office....this has happened on several occasions recently. Just too much effort to get out of the truck and walk that short walk to my door!

I think they should be fine...hopefully they packed the coral with heat packs at least. I would get a partial refund for delivery as it was not overnight

UPS is the worst shipping method to Canada from States. Although they have better package tracking, the amount they charge for brokerage fee are expensive. Within States however, UPS might be better to use because you can track them through their websites and it's also updated regularly. I think their is no brokerage or custom fee which is good there.

Sorry about the troubles you are having. That would be very frustrating indeed. Let us know if they made it tomorrow.
