Heh, interesting point. I mean, there's no rules against having robots as snipers out in Afghanistan (assuming the tech exists and is as viable as eBay sniping), but a whole bunch of people would consider that cheating too.

You hvw to bid what your willing to pay. It's whoever is willing to pay the most. You can't be mad thy someone else saw a great deal and was willing to pay more

its not that they want to pay more now is it? its just that they decided to deceive you into thinking you are going to win, then they up the bid by like 50p or something

It is not cheating. If it was Ebay would not allow it. There is no difference in a computer generated bid or a bid if you are sitting at your computer at the last 7 seconds and pressing the button.
It's simply called smarter bidding. Just because you snipe does not mean you will win. I've bid on lots of things with auction sniper and lost. If it's something you really want and you are doing conventional style bidding you simply have to ask your self what the max is you're willing to pay. There is absolutely no difference with sniping. You have to put in the max you're willing to pay.

Sometimes people bid items up beyond what they can buy things new in a store for just because they have the mentality that "I'm gonna win".
