Ok I was trying to get some info on 2 different doseing products.

The first is ESV B-Ionic Ca buffer system it the 2 part set that come with 2 one gallon containers. The one is part1 Alk and the other is part 2 Ca.

The second product is Bulk Reef Suply 2 part doseing kit. That comes with the Ca, Kh, and Mg in power form that has to be mixed.

Wanting to get everyones thoughts on both products. What you do or don't like about the product tube tryed.

    Thanks alot.

I use the BRS system. Mixing is a bit of pain but not much. BRS has a calculator on their site to help with the measurements.

From what I have read B-Ionic has other Mg and St in their mix.

B-Ionic will most likely be more costly because of the fact it is a liquid.

I actually got the B-ionic CA & ALK in powder form and mixed them too. I guess it's cheaper as you save on shipping weight. I also dose with B-ionic MG and love all 3 of the additives.

    Ok good infor thanks

So does the B-Ionic when adding both the Ca and Alk parts effect your PH?
Because at the moment my Ca 420, Kh 8, and Ph is 8.3

Because I know the BulkReef Suply 2 part lowers my Ph when I try to increase my Kh. To me that s odd because in the human body an increase in Bicarb will increase the Ph of the blood. Being the Bicarb is a buffer. So that confuses me, But anyways. For those that use the BRS what do you do to keep your Ph from selling when doseing Kh?

    Thanks

I also use the BRS powder to dose. I used B-ionic once upon a time but when I read the ingredients there where things in there that I wasn't sure about nor test for. I'm sure there are no issues with this product because it is very popular but I personally think the BRS is superior and pricing is better IMO.

BRS has 2 different recipies. One for lower PH and one for higher PH. When I dose ALK I do so in the evening when lights go out becuase my PH rises slightly after I dose.

I used B-ionic when I first started reefing, now I have a calcium reactor. I like the liquid never used powder

Well I called to the place I bought the B-Ionic from and they told me it should if any at all, increase my Ph.

I also have the BRS 2 part but I thank I'm going to try the B-Ionic because my Ph was already a little low to begen with.
